Vollyball And a Cavs Pure Domination!!!!!

Sweep!!!! The Cleveland Cavaliers have swept the Detroit pistons!! Lebron James and Co. have moved one step closer to the NBA Finals. I am feeling very good about facing the Miami Heat in the 2nd round and hopefully will be able to go to a game. I have not been to a play off game yet and can't wait to Wave that towel around!!!! Keep it up Cavs and lets keep this momentum going!!!


Great weekend !!!! This weekend i got back into the playing volleyball after being in Chicago for a weekend and the weeks before just surfing alot. I played 2 cbva tournaments on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday tyler and i played in a unrated tournament and Tyler and i played well and made it into playoffs. The talent was not very good and tyler and i were pretty much buzzed from the night before and actually picked up a 6 pack and drank the entire time. The wind was really crazy and by the time the playoffs came it wasn't even fun volleyball it was pretty much who can control the ball in the wind. Being all buzzed up we lost. It was great to play lots of volleyball and also be out side it was a really nice day out.

Sunday jay and I played in a B rated tournament it was much better talent and neither of us were buzzed from the night before. haha The first game we played we were a little stiff and lost to a couple of guys who were actually a little better than us. After that we pretty much played great team volleyball and won our next to and placed 2nd in pool play. Its really good seeing the last time we played we didn't win a game. We have to remember this is a B tournament, and the playoffs are going to be tougher. So after sitting for a good 45 minutes it was our turn to play. I did not play as well as i hoped, not sure if i was stiff or just not ready to play for some reason but my passes were not very good. The first 8 points were scored by them and then we went on our run but just could not catch up. We played fine but we have played so much better threw out the day it kinda sucked cause we know if we played just normal that last game we probably would have won. Its ok we played great all day and learned new things to improve on. Which is the reason i am blogging about volleyball this weekend.
1. Setting : I need to get my hand sets better, i was bumb setting the entire time and just not setting up jay good enough.
2. Passing : My passing was pretty good but i am putting this here cause of that last game i think i got lazy and was not bending my knees.
3. Serves : Need to have a more dominating serve!
4. Standing still over hand shots, need to work on these to aim at a place on the court and hit that spot. Try dong some standing drills and just hitting a spot on the other side of the net.
